Wednesday Wardrobing Continues Tonight

Last week, we kicked off our Spring/Summer 2026 Trends Series by exploring the key color trends of the season. From soft romantic shades like Rose Quartz and Baby Blue to bold statement colors like Cherry Red, this season’s palette offers something for everyone.

We also talked about how these colors can be combined in both classic and unexpected ways, and how they often appear together in prints and patterns.

If you missed that post, I encourage you to read the blog and watch the replay of last week’s Wednesday Wardrobing video on our YouTube Channel, where I walk through these color combinations and share styling ideas for incorporating them into your wardrobe.

Tonight, the series continues as we shift our focus from color to style.

In this week’s Wednesday Wardrobing, we’ll be talking about the key style trends for Spring and Summer 2026 and how you can incorporate them into a wardrobe that still feels polished, flattering, and wearable.

The Key Style Trends for Spring/Summer 2026

Soft, Feminine and Romantic Details

One of the most noticeable trends this season is a return to soft, feminine design elements.

You’ll see pieces featuring:

Puffed sleeves
Lace accents
Delicate embroidery

These details add texture and interest to a garment without overwhelming an outfit. They’re a beautiful way to introduce a little romance into your wardrobe while still maintaining a polished look.

Tailoring and Suits

At the opposite end of the spectrum, structured tailoring is also making a strong statement this season.

Modern suits and tailored pieces feature:

• Clean lines
• Structured silhouettes
• Premium finished fabrics

These pieces work beautifully for professional wardrobes and can easily transition from the office to an evening out.

Utility Inspired Items

Another trend we’re seeing is utility-inspired clothing.

This includes items such as:

• Cargo pants
• Utility pants
• Structured jackets

These pieces often feature practical design elements like pockets and structured seams. For a more polished look, they can be styled with a menswear-inspired vest or blazer, creating a nice balance between relaxed and refined.

Elevated Basics

One of my favorite trends this season is the continued focus on elevated basics.

These are wardrobe staples that are defined not by bold prints or dramatic silhouettes, but by:

Premium fabrics
Thoughtful design details
Beautiful drape and fit

Elevated basics are the pieces that become the foundation of your wardrobe because they work with so many other items.

Oversized Silhouettes

We are also still seeing boxy and oversized cuts this season.

This trend includes:

• Relaxed, oversized tops
• Boxy silhouettes
Bubble hems in both tops and bottoms

If you love the comfort of oversized clothing but want to maintain a flattering shape, a simple trick is to half tuck your top, which helps define the waist while keeping the relaxed feel of the trend.

Denim Trends

Denim continues to evolve this season with two strong directions.

The first is slouchy denim silhouettes, including:

• Wide leg jeans
• Loose straight leg styles
• Barrel leg silhouettes

These styles tend to be looser through the thigh, creating a relaxed and modern look.

The second trend is clean, dark denim.

These jeans feature:

• No distressing
• No holes
• No whiskering

The clean finish makes them easy to dress up, making them a great option for work or more polished outfits.

Tonight during Wednesday Wardrobing, I’ll be showing examples of these trends and how they can be styled for real life.

You’ll also find many of these pieces featured in Kyleen’s Picks, where I’ve gathered items that reflect the trends we’ll be discussing.
